Dr. Timothy J. Collins’ Presidency at Walsh University Extended Through 2027
On this day, the 203 anniversary of our founding order, the Brothers of Christian Instruction, the Walsh University Board of Directors is pleased to announce a five-year extension to the presidential term of Dr. Timothy J. Collins, through June 30, 2027. Board Chair A.J. Hyland made the announcement of the newly signed contract at the May 20, 2022, board meeting.

Mount Union Students and Faculty Take the Stage
From Shakespeare at the Castle in Alliance, to Akron, to North Canton, Mount Union drama students are participating in productions all over the area! Theatre majors Amy Ali and Addie Wisnewski will be in a production of “Hair” playing Mary and Crissy, respectively, at the Akron Civic Theater Knight Stage. The show will take place on June 17-18, 24-25 at 8 p.m., tickets can be ordered online here.

Despite concerns of the seemingly prohibitive costs associated with studying abroad, Case Western Reserve University student Jaydah Robertson set her sights on the experience during her first semester. Determined to make it happen, she took on work-study jobs to finance a future trip. But even after a few years, the money still wasn’t adding up.

UF’s All Hazards Offering Threat Assessment Management Course for Safer Ohio Schools
University of Findlay’s All Hazards Training Center is now offering a Safer Ohio Schools Using Threat Assessment Management course for Ohio schools. This course aligns with the Ohio House Bill Safety and Violence Education Student (SAVE Students) Act which requires every school in the state to create a threat assessment team which must participate in an approved threat assessment training program.

Enchanted Brush Exhibit Dives into “Mysterious Fathoms”

'Berg, local schools partner to fill GAP for K-5 kids
This summer, Heidelberg will launch a collaborative partnership with Tiffin City Schools, Calvert Elementary School and Bridges Academy to provide intense support and “high-dosage” tutoring in math and reading to K-5 students whose learning may have been disrupted by COVID-19 or other situations.

As we dive into the warmer months, exercise and sustainability are the primary things on my mind. I’m determined to not spend this summer in the pixelated “nature” of Minecraft, or waste my paycheck at the gas pump. During this time of year, all of our student orgs have gone home for the most part; but Tiffin’s downtown businesses are still up, running and hosting events – and most of them are only a quick walk away!
