Today’s news coverage reports that more than 24,000 lives were lost in the disastrous Turkey-Syria earthquakes that struck on Monday.
As members of our Kent State community may consider contributions to the relief efforts through various agencies like the Red Cross-Red Crescent, recent articles from the New York Times and NPR provide guidance on how to ensure that your support is reaching those in need via a reputable charity.
Our student body includes one student from Syria and six from Turkey.
Please keep them, their families and their communities in your thoughts during this time.
