SMITH ERUPTS FOR 32 AS THE CAVS ROLL THE PIONEERS

In front of a jam packed crowd at Osborne Hall, the Cavaliers put on a show as they avenged a December loss to beat rival Malone by 14. This was a huge win as the Cavs won the Mayor's Cup and added a conference win to their resume. The victory extended the teams win streak to four and moved the team up in the G-MAC standings to third. Currently, Hillsdale leads the conference with an 8-1 record.

RECORDS: WALSH 9-6 (6-2), MALONE 10-4 (5-3) 

FOR THE CAVS

  • Nic Smith was dominant on the offensive side. He had 32 points which is an individual team high for the season. He was 6-6 from the charity stripe and shot 62% from the field. He also added six rebounds and had zero turnovers. 
  • Quentin Toles added 15 points and eight boards.
  • Tim Smith Jr. dominated the boards with 10. 
  • Garrison Keeslar dished out 12 assists. 
FOR THE PIONEERS

  • Bo Myers recorded a double double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. 
  • Justin Miller and Simon Blair each added 10 points apiece. 
The Maroon and Gold return to Alumni Arena on 1/14 for a huge conference game vs Ashland. Tip off is set for 3pm.
