Kent State Celebrates Its Newest Graduates With Fall Commencement Ceremonies

The Kent State University alumni family will grow by more than 2,500 new graduates as the university holds its fall commencement ceremonies. The accomplishments of the Fall Class of 2022 will be recognized with in-person commencement ceremonies for all colleges and degrees on Dec. 17. The two fall commencement ceremonies will be livestreamed at www.kent.edu/commencement.

In total, 2,571 degrees will be conferred this fall, consisting of 613 associate degrees, 1,478 bachelor’s degrees, 425 master’s degrees, 52 doctoral degrees and three educational specialist degrees.

More than 1,200 of the graduating students have confirmed their participation in the commencement ceremonies.

During the commencement ceremonies, graduating students will hear from Kent State President Todd Diacon and Senior Vice President and Provost Melody Tankersley. Graduating students will also cross the stage and have their names announced during the ceremonies for all colleges and degrees on the Kent Campus at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation (MAC) Center on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

To participate in the in-person commencement, graduating students had to complete their ceremony RSVP by the end of October. Each graduating student registered for commencement has tickets for their commencement ceremony guests to attend.
