Cavalier Bowling Kicks Off Season With Success

The Women's Bowling team has been off to a fast start this season. After a second-place finish at the Ohio Bowling Conference #1, the team competed at the Youngstown State Penguin Classic, Ohio Bowling Conference #2, and the Daemen Classic. The maroon and gold will round out the fall with one more event in Columbus, OH.
The Walsh University Men's Bowling team has been practicing and competing since their sixth place finish at Ohio Bowling Conference #1. Most recently, they competed back in Columbus at Ohio Bowling Conference #2 and AHBA #1/2 in Canton, Michigan. The Cavaliers next event is back in Columbus for Ohio Bowling Conference #3 on Saturday, November 19th.

WOMEN'S TEAM RESULTS
 
YSU PENGUIN CLASSIC
LOCATION: Struthers, OH
RESULTS: 13th out of 14 Teams, 3-11 for the event
FOR THE CAVS
- Kendall Schaar was the highest finisher for the Cavs in 30th place. She knocked down 1,276 pins in eight games.
- Alicia Yacono and Addison Star were next for the team, finishing 34th and 38th respectively.
 
OHIO BOWLING CONFERENCE #2
LOCATION: Columbus, OH
RESULTS: Varsity 3rd out of 12 Teams, JV 1st out of 4 Teams
FOR THE CAVS
- Alicia Yacono led the team with 784 pins. Addison Starr was right behind her with 700 pins.
- In only three games, Rachel Young knocked down 646 pins and had a team high score of 269.
- Maggie Lewis led the JV with 779 pins.
 
DAEMEN STORM FALL CLASSIC
LOCATION: Depew, NY
RESULTS: 4TH out of 8 Teams, 5-5 for the event
FOR THE CAVS
- Jessica Lawrence led the Cavaliers with 942 pins in five games.
- Alicia Yacono rolled the highest game for the team with a 203. She also knocked down a total of 934 pins in five games.

MEDAILLE BRUNSWICK INVITATIONAL
LOCATION: Buffalo, NY
RESULTS: 4TH out of 10 Teams, 4-4 for the event

MEN'S TEAM RESULTS

OHIO BOWLING CONFERENCE #2
LOCATION: Columbus, OH
RESULTS: Varsity 2nd out of 17 Teams, JV 1st out of 8 Teams
FOR THE CAVS
- Four Cavaliers finished in the top 25 for the event.
- Robert Komlosi (12th)
- Jordan Norris (18th)
- Caden Mutchler (20th)
- Ethan Gary (22nd)

AHBA #1
LOCATION: Canton, Michigan
RESULTS: 2nd out of 20 teams
FOR THE CAVS
- Jordan Norris won the tournament with a five game total of 1153 pins. He won by eight pins. His best game was a 258. He also set a school record.
- Ryan Hanzak finished 8th with 1096 pins. His best game was a 247.
