Football Closes Out Season At Northwood
The Maroon and Gold headed North to new conference member, Northwood University for their final game of the season. Energy was high as the Cavaliers fought hard for a rushing touchdown midway through the first quarter, to put them up 7-0. The Timberwolves had a quick answer by scoring a touchdown making the score 7-7 at the end of the first quarter. With an early start to the second, Walsh connected on a touchdown pass giving them a 14-7 lead. Northwood was quick to react, scoring a touchdown to make the score 14-14.
The Timberwolves got an early start to the third quarter by scoring on a rushing touchdown. They quickly got back on the board and took a 14-28 lead after the third quarter. Walsh's continued offensive efforts fell short in the 4th quarter as Northwood would close out the game 14-34.
