The University of Mount Union dedicated the state-of-the-art Melvin J. Snode Golf Center on Saturday.
"We thank the many donors and campus advocates who have made the Melvin J. Snode Golf Center at Mount Union a reality," said Mount Union Head Men's and Women's Coach Bill Kirkwood. "It combines state-of-the-art indoor golf practice technology with the open, inviting and inclusive environment essential for successful collegiate athletics, both present and future."
The top-of-the-line Melvin J. Snode Golf Center, which has been fully donor supported, contains two Foresight simulators, a chipping and putting green, a study lounge, a locker room, and a coaching office.
"On behalf of the Athletics Department, I would like to express my appreciation for the generosity of our alumni and friends for providing the golf program the opportunity to practice in such an outstanding facility," said Mount Union Athletic Director Mike Parnell. "This facility makes achieving our goal to succeed on and off the course possible, as well as strategically positioning Mount Union to recruit and retain quality student-athletes for the golf program."
