In a rematch of a game that was played earlier in the season, the Pioneer men's soccer team looked to even the season series with the University of Findlay Oilers.
This time, the Pioneers rolled across the state to visit Findlay at their home field.
Unfortunately, Findlay had an explosive first half and was able to hang on for the 4-2 win over Malone.

Findlay came out hot, scoring within the first minute of the match. The Pioneers answered right back with a solo goal from Anthony Birus, the first of his collegiate career.
Findlay then went on to score three unanswered to close out the first half.
Malone's defense stepped it up and shut out Findlay for the entire second half, and Anthony Birus found the back of the Oiler net yet again, making two on the day.
Unfortunately Findlay held on to finish with a 4-2 win over the Pioneers.
DETAILS
With the day Anthony Birus had, he moves into a tie with Colton Fry and Alex Bibza for second on the team in goals scored this season.
Gavyn Ernst played all 90 minutes in goal for Malone, and came away with five total saves.

Malone will travel across town to play their rival, Walsh, on Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. match.
