At its Board meeting on August 31, 2022, the Board of Stark County Commissioners recommended Sunday, October 30 2022, 3:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. as the suggested date and time for the 2022 County-Wide Halloween observance. The Board of Commissioners realizes that different Stark County Communities may choose a different date and time for their door-to-door trick-or-treat activities. Please be advised that this recommendation is made in conjunction with the following safety suggestions:
- Youth should be supervised by an adult
- Select a door-to-door route which is familiar
- Wear light-colored clothing
- Make sure that masks or costumes do not obstruct vision
- Wear reflective tape &/or carry a flashlight when trick-or-treating near dusk
- Examine all treats carefully
- Trick-or-treat in groups
- Obey all traffic laws
- Motorists should drive with extreme caution
