Dr. Bryan Boatright, assistant vice president for academic affairs and university registrar at the University of Mount Union, was recently selected to participate in the United States Army Cadet Command (USACC) Cadet Summer Training (CST) 22 Center of Influence (COI) Leadership Symposium.
The symposium is a four-day experience at Fort Knox where participants are involved in leadership briefs, presentations, discussions, SROTC training observation and more. The goal of COI is to enhance representatives’ understanding and view of Army Officers and the officer development process, as well as increase representatives’ advocacy for Army ROTC with engaged prospects.
“I am beyond humbled and honored to have been nominated and selected for this unique and impactful leadership symposium,” Boatright said. “To be able to collaborate and learn from other leaders across the country and to be able to experience a small portion of the life of an ROTC student is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I look forward to developing a better understanding of the ROTC programs, bringing that back to Mount Union and continuing to grow and strengthen our program for our students.”
Mount Union offers Army and Air Force ROTC as collaborative programs with Kent State University that provide leadership training and skill development.
