Mount Union's women lacrosse senior midfielder Sydney Bumbarger (Newbury Park, Calf.), junior Leah Shutts (Amherst, N.Y. / Amherst Central) and sophomore attack Katie Clark (Hudson / Walsh Jesuit) have each been named to the All-Great Lakes Region second team by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).
Bumbarger was named first team All-Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder as she led the Raiders in goals with 65 goals. Bumbarger will leave Mount Union as the career goal leader with 213 goals and was a first team Great Lakes selection last year.
Clark was named first team All-OAC attacker as she led the team and in assists with 44, she led the team with points with 85 points and was third with 41 goals. This is her second All-Great Lakes award with last year earning second team as well.
Shutts picked up first team All-OAC defender and led a Raiders defense that held opponents to the second lowest goals per game in the conference. Shutts led Mount Union in caused turnovers with 32 and ground balls with 43.
The trio led Mount Union to a 12-5 record overall and a trip to the OAC Semifinals.
