Walsh Defeated by #7 Ranked Mercyhurst

Walsh University recently issued the following announcement.

The Cavaliers battled hard in the first half, but fell to the nationally-ranked Lakers. The loss puts Walsh at 2-6 on the year and 1-1 in conference play. 

Score: Walsh 9, Mercyhurst 19

Records: Walsh 2-6 (1-1), Mercyhurst 6-2 (3-0)

Location: Larry Staudt Field (North Canton, Ohio)

FOR THE CAVALIERS:

  • Seven different Cavaliers scored, with Preston Coffman and Tosh Pazuik leading the way with a pair of goals each
  • Colby Bowman, Issac Stertz, Anthony Munoz, Tyler Wascovich, and Sully Dowling each had one goal on the day
  • Evan Bradley dished out a team-high three assists
  • Gabe Brown and Joseph Rushed picked up four ground balls a piece
  • Goalie Patrick Cuddihy had 15 saves, three caused turnovers, and two ground balls
FOR THE LAKERS:

  • Myles Hamm scored a game-high eight goals
  • Ethan Landymore had five goals, while Jacob Emerson scored three
  • Landymore recorded a game-high four assists
  • #24 Shawn Doran picked up a game-high 16 ground balls

Walsh plays at Davis & Elkins Saturday, April 9th at 6 p.m.
