Walsh University recently issued the following announcement.

The Walsh Cavaliers baseball team wrapped up the series with the #22 Seton Hill Griffins on Wednesday (March 16) on the road.

Seton Hill scored five runs in the middle innings to come back for a 5-4 win over the Cavaliers.

Joey Holiga opened the game with a solo shot to left center field in the top of the first inning. Davis Burick fisted a two-run double down the right-field line in the fourth inning as they pushed the lead to 3-0. Seton Hill hit the bullpen for five runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings as they led 5-3 after seven innings. The Griffins scored two runs in the fifth, tied the game in the sixth and took the lead in the seventh. Walsh attempted the rally in the ninth inning as Austin Marko homered to kick off the inning. After Davis Burick singled and moved to second on a sac bunt, he was thrown out trying to score on a Ben Lefebvre single. Walsh had the go-ahead run at second base with two outs but could not convert.

Burick, Lefebvre and Holiga all had two hit games as eight different players had a hit in the game.

Walsh heads to Kentucky Wesleyan on Sunday for a four-game series with the Panthers.
