University of Mount Union issued the following announcement on Feb. 28
The University of Mount Union is hosting a presentation on Russian-Ukrainian relations featuring Dr. Michael Grossman, professor of political science and international studies at Mount Union, on Wednesday, March 16 at 6 p.m. in the Newbold Room of the University’s Hoover-Price Campus Center.
A topic that has dominated the recent headlines, Grossman will discuss the causes for Russia’s attack on its neighbor after years of low-level conflict, how it may end and its lasting impact on global politics.
At Mount Union, Grossman teaches courses on international relations, terrorism, post-Soviet politics and US Foreign Policy. He has also had authored several pieces on the topic, including “Ethnicity and National Identity Externalized: The impact of identity on foreign policy in post-Soviet Ukraine.” in The Politics of Ethnicity and National Identity, and “Role Theory and Foreign Policy Change: The Transformation of Russian Foreign Policy in the 1990s” in International Politics, 2005.
