Kent State University recently issued the following announcement.
The Kent State University Board of Trustees will hold its next regular business meeting on Tuesday, March 8, at 11:30 a.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom Balcony on the third floor of the student center to consider the recommendations of the standing committees, proposed personnel actions and new business. Trustees will retire into executive session at 10 a.m. to consider specific topics as provided under Ohio’s “Sunshine Law.” The roll call vote for this session will occur in public in the Alumni Suite on the third floor of the Kent Student Center.
In addition, on March 8 at 2 p.m., the Board will join the university community and special guests for the groundbreaking ceremony for Crawford Hall, a new, state-of-the-art building that will serve as the home for the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship. The largest single gift in Kent State history, by Ambassador Edward F. Crawford, completed the capital campaign to enable the construction of the new building on the university’s Kent Campus. The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at a heated outdoor tent on Front Campus near 50 Midway Drive in Kent.
On March 8, meetings of the full Board of Trustees will be held in person. A limited number of seats open to the public/university community will be available in person. For additional information, contact Charlene Nichol at cnicho22@kent.edu.
