Stark County Ohio Government issued the following announcement on Oct. 19.
Stark County has received a special allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds that will be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) throughout Stark County, outside of the cities of Canton, Massillon, Alliance and the Village of Hills & Dales. Through the CARES Act, an additional $1,751,488 in Community Development Block Grant funds is available for specifically aimed projects that address issues arising from the Coronavirus pandemic, referred to as CDBG-CV funds.
