Stark County Health Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 1.
Our health commissioner, Kirkland Norris, RS, MPH, has issued his weekly statement on the level change of the Ohio Public Health Advisory System.
October 1, 2020 Ohio Public Health Advisory System Update:
There are now 11 counties that have triggered enough indicators to be at Level 3 - Red. Being elevated to red this week are Putnam, Mercer, Montgomery, Butler, Hamilton, Clermont, Pike, Scioto, Muskingum, Richland, and Ashland.
Richland is county on watch for Level 4 - Purple.
Our county, Stark County, is at Level 2 - Orange for the first time since being elevated to Level 3 - Red last week. The following indicators met were:
Indicator 1 - New cases per capita
Indicator 3 - Non-Congregate Cases
Indicator 5 - Sustained increase in outpatient
visits for COVID-like illness
