Big Second Quarter Propels Michigan Tech Over Walsh

After ten minutes, the home team on the scoreboard, Walsh, was leading by seven. That didn't last long as Michigan Tech had a huge second quarter, outscoring the Cavs, 22-3. The next two quarters were close but unfortunately the Cavs were not able to closing the gap, falling 63-47 in the last game of 2022.

RECORDS: Michigan Tech 11-3 (3-1), Walsh 5-7 (3-2)

FOR THE CAVS

  • Kiley Dyrlund went 6-7 from the field and lead the Cavs in scoring with 14 points. 
  • Emma Dretke had eight points and six rebounds for the Maroon and Gold. 
  • Lexie Scarton added six points, six rebounds, and three assists. 
FOR MICHIGAN TECH

  • Isabella Lenz lead all scorers with 20 points. 
  • Sara Dax had seven boards and eight points. 
The Cavs kick off 2023 with a road trip down south at Kentucky Wesleyan, Thursday, January 5th.
